The Derb, In Flourescent Lighting

Seth in the shop.  Safety first.  I love this boy like ca-razy!

This is our first (and last) foray into scouting. So we are making it count.  Seth entered the Pinewood Derby.  He named his car "Speed Lightening" and...it was fast.  We learned quickly that "it's all about the graphite".  This is serious business.  Seriously serious business.

So, Seth came prepared with his own star-spangled pit crew.

The enthusiasm was palpable.

Seth cut, sanded, painted, stickered, weighted, and wheeled his entry himself.  This little cub LOVED the derby, he made this Mama Bear proud!

I auctioned off some Maple-Walnut Buttercream cuppies to contribute to the BSA cause!  They went for $50.  Go BSA!!

Good for you, Jordan...on donating those AMAZING looking cuppies. And $50!?! You really ought to start a bakery, cafe, something! And way to go, Seth...for preparing his derby car all by himself. I feel that may be a rarity in the derby world. ;) Congratulations, Seth!!!!

So..how fast was the car? Loved the car decorating! And why the last time? So many unanswered questions. Wish i could have been there.
