The Evening Unfolded

The birthday dinner.  Per Hazel request: Homemade Mac and Cheese Shells, Brussel Sprouts, Lemonade.   Red Velvet Cupcakes, pink cream cheese frosting.  "When will we sing the opening song!!?", she asks, having anticipated the candle-cake moment ALL day.

We all watched, stunned, as Hazel unwrapped each gift.  By the time she got to the full collection of Disney Fairies, she was, for the first time in her life, speechless.  I call that a successful celebration.

What is it with our kids and Brussel sprouts?

Looks like a fantastic celebration. Love dad in his butterfly accessory.

Oh my! How do you and your sister Katy get all of your lovely children to eat brussel sprouts?? Or vegetables in general? You ladies must have amazing persuasive powers or some trick I have yet to learn!
