does it bother the hens to have a cat lurking beneath their home?
We had our first egg last week! We now have two layers but just one of them are really mature. good size eggs. The Rhode island red was the first one to get there. You will have to send your kids on egg hunts throughout the yard. They will lay in randon places if they are free ranging. I am thinking I am going to have to gather mine in a little, I have to admit that the poop on the deck and patio funiture is cramping my style. Ours aren't trained to lay in the nesting box yet. They like to lay them on the cusioned bench by our back door.
Waiting for hens?
Poor Gloria. I'd be nervous if Linus was lurking 'neath my nest!
That is a HILTON CHICK II Hotel! Hope Gloria is happy there! WE ARE ON LINE!!! YEAH!!!
