St Patrick's Shiver

March, you mess with me.  But I'm holding my ground.  You urged us to fling our windows open just days ago then left frost on the windshield this morning.  So inconstant you heralder of Spring.  I refuse to pay another high heating bill.  Yet, at 54 degrees (in the house) we are dressed for winter on our couch.  You try me, dear March, you try me.  Please invite us outdoors once more.

That's a ghostly picture...I almost didn't see Hazel? standing there.

You're a summer girl, no? I am sensing a theme of cold=crazy, with January, February and now March leaving you wanting.

Yes, you're spot on, Tracy. A big reason why we moved to NC, but it's been a particularly harsh (read long) winter here this year.

Jordan, Do you have any pictures of your parent's beautiful Chicken cottage from their Provo house? It was gorgeous but I couldn't recall details. I hope you are well too. It's fun to catch up via the blog. We have mutual friends, the Shafer family from New Orleans. Anyhow, let me know how I can get my hands on some of those pitures if you get the chance with all of your spare time :)

i keep meaning to tell you what a fan i am of your blog. my sister is heather elison and she showed me to it awhile back. love it. and i posted about your painting with the kids at the bed. (here: http://mvelope.blogspot.com/2010/01/this-splendid-inconvenience.html) heather said the painting is a sight to see in person. anyway, i just love all your thoughtful prose and thoughtful living. your blog is so refreshing.
