Sit Down To Simple

A Late Winter Meal

Creamy Potato, Cabbage, and Peppercorn Soup

Fresh French Batard with fresh tomato puree and a rub of raw garlic

Steamed Artichoke with Lemon Mustard Dip

Milk

This was a end-of-the-month-use-up-what's-in-the-fridge dinner.  Though Dr. Gooch insisted to his rascals that "this is really good food, eat up!!" Dinner always ends with some big spill or other--whether tears or milk.  We're forgiving, because we know they're still little.  And anyway that's why we feed them, so they can grow into really good company.

I'll eat a "let's use what we have on hand" dinner at your place any time.

We have plenty of both kinds of spills too.
