Six

Mindful miniature
you six-year-old boy
we rub stubborn edges
smoothing hubris, yours mine.

Constistancy craver
you six-year-old boy
judging the justice
finding fault in the plan.

Playful young pleaser
you six-year-old boy
tower-building, parent prodding
questioning the quest.

So somber son
you-six-year-old boy
ever on guard, ever onto
such splendid somethings.
