It's Never Too Early

photo taken at Kill Devil Frozen Custard and Beach Fries

To decide on your Christmas colors for the year. These are mine. Red and green. We're going classic but with a twist. The green will be almost a jade green--praying mantis green. I'm hoping my jade pumpkins will be ready.

Remember this year? We used yellow and light blues. It was the year Hazel was born (November 2nd). Then there was 2007--the second year we cut down our own tree in the mountains of Arizona. I loved the turquoise. Last year was our first Christmas in North Carolina. I settled on a neutral palette for Christmas 2008.

The colors this year were actually decided after the last luminaria and light string was stashed away before 2009 even began. That way, I can storm the post holiday sales!

What are your colors this year?

I love that you change it up every year.

Hmmm, I dunno. What do you think they should be? Orange? I LOVE orange!

Nie sent me over - what a wonderful sister you have there, though I'm sure I don't have to tell you - and i am so glad she did!

LOVED reading over your reflections, and being tantalized by the images of your home life, and beyond.

Keep on doing what you do!

Great photo. I love that color combo. I usually use red, lime green, and orange, but I do love the way you switch it up. It's going to be a rush job decorating for Christmas at our house this year...

Not sure yet, maybe gold. I still need to send you your star tree topper.

Your tree sounds like it's going to be gorgeous! As for our clours , hmmn maybe black and gold. We are home just 2 weeks from the Outer Banks! We love it there! We look forward to going every year. Those fries at Kill Devil's are pretty good:o)( I've been going since I was a child every summer and now my husband and I take our girls there with my parents.) I found you via nienie and will be back from now on! It seems a great place to visit:o)
Blessings!

I can never get that organized to do something different every year! I just pick a mish mash of all colors and hope for the best. I'm sure your tree will look great no matter what colors you choose.
