One Last Look At Our Weekend Trip

Jessica hosted our road trippin' bones at her Alexandria flat just outside "the city".  Lucy and Seth were given the star treatment with individual tents for sleeping quarters and waffles under whipped cream in the morning.  Sunday, we took our leave after a too short stay and photographed the mini visitors on her stoop.

Heaven for the mom was a few evenings spent with two of my three sisters.  Ashley was in town on alleviation duty at Ann's (whose daughter's med dosage and treatment is itself a full time job)--though I think there was more partying going on than not.  I made the trip to enjoy the company of both and see a few sights in between.

Forces aligned in our favor and we managed three whole hours at the DC Zoo under the cool canopy of a rainless cloud cover.  Highlights: Prairie Dogs (one of Dr. Gooch's childhood favorites), the Giant Panda, gliding sting rays, and peacocks showing off.

Future plans:  return trips in every season.  Someone said something about cherry blossom's in spring?
