We're staying in

It was 5:45 when Avery woke for a diaper change, an early breakfast bottle and a few snuggles, then she slipped back into sleep and so did Dr. Gooch. I slipped back into the warmth with him and found the most comfortable spot in the bed somehow. So comfortable that I stayed there even as Lucy ran in announcing what the night had produced outside our front door (and the back, too.) I stayed while the doctor dug the snow wear back out of the garage and bundled the three and sent them out in the wet wet icy Carolina March snow--duct-taped gloves and all. I stayed, except to get up and confirm closure of public schools. And here we are still, lounging in the living room all the bean bags, blankets and couch cushions keeping us company. It's a good life.

We got a few inches ourselves but unfortunately nothing was canceled.

For some reason, when I heard that we might reach 90 today here in Phoenix, I thought of you and that it was probably a March phenomenon you're living quite happily without! Enjoy your weather!

Man, I wish we knew the wonder of a school cancellation! And, duct tape on the gloves is a great idea -- Eva can never ever keep hers on.
