Happy October!!

In the spirit of Nie, we ring in the month of spooks with "fallish" dessert, creepy movies, and full blown decor!

We watched Alfred Hitchcock's "North by Northwest". Okay, so it's not his scariest, but it would be kinda creepy if everyone around you suddenly thought you were a spy and you didn't know who was on your side and who wasn't. Plus, the humor of Cary Grant's character is kinda scary.

Craig made a mouthwatering Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake with a gingersnap crust from the King Arthur Baking Cookbook. We tried to invite some friends over, but failed miserably. You would have come, right?

Will you join us and do one thing Halloweeny each October day?

That's actually a really great idea to make the halloween feeling last all month. I'm going to need to get really creative.

Love your decorations, I guess I need to start pulling ours out. The pumpkins cheesecake sound delicious, especially the ginerbread crust. I'm going to have to try that for sure.

Your house looks very festive. I don't know if I could put out fake spiders. I already have enough real ones to get rid of. The cheesecake looked delicious. If you invited us Womble's over we would of come.

I would have come!
Your houses looks delightfully spooky - I bet your lucky kids are in heaven with you 2 creative parents. And I want some pumpkin cheesecake! I might have to make that soon...

One scary thing we are going to do is go into the MTC and ROLEPLAY! And we will dress up as Senior Missionaries.

Hey it's Jessica Wesley's wife. I was the one who left that comment, not Wes. I forgot to put my name so you knew it was me.
Bytheway I love the picture of your daughter and the pumpkin. It's really cute.

I love your Halloween "spirit"! Decorating for Halloween is fun and your decorations are extra artistic! I am slowly adding to our Halloween decorations, but we have a long way to go. The toenails are great as well. I need to get some black nail polish.

Happy Halloween!

Great idea that's a challenge I'll take! Trying to invite friends over to join in festivities always has a potential to flop- it's happened to us too, but how could anyone turn that cheesecake down?
