The Apple Unit

They're learning about spiders now, but last month was all about apples! His homework: create an apple tree from whatever you want! It was Seth's idea to use real branches. His dad took him and the girls, minus avery, on a hike and they found the perfect "trunk" for the tree. Sculpey proved sturdy material from which seth fashioned red delicious apples. the leaves? stiff green felt. His, of course, was the best in class! We love autumn apples! And now, so does seth (he's eaten several whole apples down to the seeds since studying the fruit in kindergarten).

What a creative teacher you have to get the children involved in such a fun way! And a creative little boy that Seth is, I might add!

I love the tree that Seth made. It looks like it was a very fun project. I wish I had a kindergarten class like that when I was his age. ~ Jessica Womble
