Hazel's Shiner

Moments before we loaded the children into the car to head to the beach, Hazel was playing with the others in the garage. She climbed into the jogging stroller, stood up in the seat backwards and the whole lot of 'em (stroller and toddler) toppled over and hit the cement. She put her cheekbone to good use and it held up well, protecting her baby blues, but she suffered some serious swelling. Today, it is a full-blown black eye.
This was all very timely seeing as we will have our family photo session next Tuesday before my brother's wedding in Utah. Perfect. Childhood is rough.

She's cute no matter what!

It's a good thing kids are so resilient. If they ever got wise to the possible pain of their antics they'd become a much more cautious lot.
