Boxes, Babes gone Berzerk, and Bye-Bye Bad Bugs

Okay, you guys, seriously. No more parties and guests, we're in full swing "move mode" here. We've talked this event up to our kids for a long while now. But, once the boxes arrived and we began disassembling, emptying drawers and closets, and sealing up boxes, Seth (especially) and Lucy have been bouncing off the bare walls. We're trying to take it in stride (Dr. Gooch is doing a much better job, but then again he's much more "out of the house" than I).

Nevertheless, Chaos has come to stay and will only take leave once we board that plane next weekend (or is that when it begins--it's hard to say). I'm excited though. I'm excited to start fresh. A fresh start. Un-pregnant, un-landlocked, and un-tied from this master "Residency" that we've been serving for the past three years.

I'm also thrilled that where we are going (one of the original thirteen colonies and the location of the Wright Brother's first powered and sustained heavier-than-air flight) there are none of these:

Actual photo taken on Sunday in our backyard, this fat guy was found by means of a black light--creepy, creepy, creepy!!

That scorpion IS creepy.

Good luck during the next couple of weeks. What a courageous and exciting endeavor. Your rental looks charming and I hear nothing but the best about NC. Also, congratulations on completing residency. Colton's brother just barely started down that long road.

Yeah for being unchained from all of those cumbersome things and double yeah for a place with no scorpions!

You go Pistol Packin' Mama! The walls and shelves are looking bare.
We will see you in NC to help you put things in their new place(s).

I love the point in "a move" where you pack EVERYTHING. Nothing needs to be "left out" in case you "need it." Just throw it all in box and GO!

Oh the packing begins. A hard task to accomplish with a house full of littles. Good luck and good bye to those blasted scorpions!

Oh my- your place looks like mine did four weeks ago! Four weeks later and finally we are functioning. Good luck- at least it will be a quick air trip- well actually it never is quick enough, and I can only imagine with four kids! Good Luck!

Ew!! I don't like our mice, but I don't think I'd trade them for scorpions...

I am just feeling your pain. Moving and the stress that goes with it is always a shock to me, but getting away from that hideous bug must be a great motivation!
