At 6:45 am, Craig was offered a job!!
At 6:47 am, he accepted the job.
At 7 am, the car was packed full of sleepy heads, suitcases, and smiles and we pulled away.
By noon, we were making the last stretch across the Coronado Bay Bridge.
At 2:15, I dropped and broke our only camera.
By 2 pm we were watching our three on the beach, windblown and full of wonder.
On our walk to get bread and milk Lucy leaned her head back in the breeze, closed her eyes, and sighed, "This place is sooooo beautiful."
Craig and I keep exchanging glossy eyed looks of disbelief and relief.
At 5 pm we made homemade pizza then sent the mini-vacationers off to the bunks.
Now, we are settling into a sort of slow-down as we sink into serenity--long-awaited, much needed--thanks to generous family for room and board with all the creature comforts and conveniences (we've still only spent on gas and food!).
