This package (little gifts stuffed into a turquoise Tiffany & Co. Box) arrived a few days ago. Of course I was thrilled when all the paper and bows coordinated. There is something--a lot, in fact--to be said for someone who takes seriously even your frivolities.

A Glowing backdrop to our nativity atop the bookcase. The amaryllis are performing well (these were pre-started).

Aubrey, My Dad is the color-coordinating king--how's that for an alliteration?

I would have opened the box & cried. It is turquoise & red perfection.

Only from your parents! I have been thinking a lot, recently, about the sort of people who "take seriously your frivolities." Gems.

I am not normally a fan of turquoise wrapping paper, but THAT turquoise would make me cry!

Congrats on another baby girl!! Any names picked out?

Oh, receiving a color-coordinated box of gifts is a gift in and of itself! I love that.

Your amaryllis are great! I love them. My father-in-law imports hundreds of bulbs from South Africa every year. Unfortunately I am never a recipient of any because you can't transport them over the border from Canada to here. Avery's cello teacher has one in her studio that is seriously 4 feet tall. It's unbelievable, and I live in fear that PQ will somehow knock it over.
