Tape

As summer draws to a close this is what we've resorted to at our house:

Taping everything. Even the UPS truck got a makeover and the poor Matryoshka doll can't breathe. I keep finding little pieces on my arms and feet. Hey, whatever keeps the "boredom bear" at bay (because he brings much disagreeable noise and destruction) I will gladly fork out the extra change for more Scotch (the tape not the drink--you people!!)

Tape is one of the best inventions, ever. And I'm not just saying that because we used packing tape to keep Olive's diapers on for a year. Have you ever had to do that? She still runs when she hears the squeak of it from the dispenser.

Good luck with the boredom bear. A few paint brushes and a bowl of water on the cement is also a good, clean activity.

That first photo is amazing! Tape is a good toy. And I second the water painting idea, Eva loves that.

That is a GOOD one Katy, I'll have to try that! No, haven't had to use tape on and dipes yet--I'm surprised that hasn't been an issue with Lucy (maybe we're in for it with this fourth one (:

Note to self- buy a lot of tape! Play dough has lost it's 5 times a year novelty and a straight jacket for mom- only partly jesting. I loved the table you got from your parents! Wow! Maybe you'll need to build a house around it! I love it!

We have a tape monster too! I even found my violin case covered in tape! Should I take that as a hint?

Whitney is in love with tape too and has found so many creative uses for it. I think it's definitely worth paying for if it keeps them happy and busy.
