Little Lentil Bean

At six weeks, they say the heart starts beating, even in something as small as this tiny legume.

You need to change your profile to "six"!

Jordy!!!! Oh my, I just read the good news!!! SO HAPPY for you! So very, very, very happy. Congratulations galore, to all of you. I hope you will find lots of "still" in the "spinning" to savor this time (it's possible, right? Even when bellies are bulging. I do think it is). Thank you for sharing your unexpected beautiful news. Really, the whole post brought me to tears. Love you, Jordan. I love the thought of this little one anxious and eager to join you ... the Mangum Six. I just can't wipe the smile off my face.

Love the table--very cool.

I saw the heartbeat on ultrasound even before six weeks. It's amazing. We named our little one 'beaner' at that point. She got a new name after she was born.

My little bean is now 6 1/2. Can't believe she was ever that tiny...

I love how the little larvas are always compared to food. Beans, grapes, limes, grapefruits...then they turn into watermelons. Mine is a hearty Thanksgiving turkey!

Hard to wrap my mind around something so small becoming so significant in our lives.

I got to see the little tiny heartbeat on an early ultrasound also. Pretty amazing.
Our little one is up to the size of a jumbo shrimp now.

Congrats, Jordan! You are so brave! You go girl! If anyone can handle it, you can. Best wishes and I can't wait to hear the updates... Are you still planning on running the SG marathon? Still need to use the house in SG?

We read about this when I was pregnant with our first. We called him rice baby for awhile, then potato baby. He didn't get an actual name until just before he was born! Here's hoping your little lentil will treat you right and you will have a smooth pregnancy.

Like Shawna, I still keep smiling and thinking about you and your sweet little bean. What a tremendous blessing and what a treat for your little one to join the Mangum ranks!
