Out of Body Experience...

...Hazel's--not mine. And, out of MY body, not hers. Today Hazel is nine months old. I always mentally mark this milestone for each of my children because as of today, Hazel has spent more time in the world than she spent inside of me. It must be some sort of turning point. It feels like a turning point.

Inside

Outside

Today

I'm so grateful she got here safe and is growing like a weed!

Oh, she looks just like herself in her cute newborn shot. I love it! Happy out of body day to both of you.

I had never thought of the 9 month mark in that way before. She is such a darling girl.

My comment is unrelated to this post except for the fact that what I mention relates to the body, albeit a different body system than you're talking about. After downing 6 chocolate chip cookies, I say "thanks" for the recipe from several posts ago. Tasty!

Its a bitter sweet milestone for me, I don't know why.

Why do you always look so great, even in labor!

9 months really? How fast that has gone. She is turning cuter and cuter by the minute.

I clicked over to your blog and my heart skipped a beat when I saw you in a hospital bed. Then I noticed the belly and the smiles and the cute Hazel *after* shots. A wonderful occasion to mark.

jordan, i love reading your blog. it's very real and refreshing, and still insightful and intuitive. you are such a fabulous mother to be mindful of all of the little milestones and to celebrate each moment.

How can this be? It seems like we were just barely anticipating your delivery and now she's already been out longer than she was in? Wow.
