A Softened Foot

I just happened to have this photo from my trip to Oregon to visit Rebecca. These are our feet on the beach, you can't tell but a frigid rain is pelting our smiling faces. Just 3 days in the wet weather of the greenest place on earth left me with softened feet and need I add, a softened heart? So, my best foot is the one that has had some time to reflect--and not alone. As Susan Ward would ask, "Don't you know how we lose the sense of our own individuality when there is nothing to reflect it back upon us?" So, thank you dear friend for being that something and helping me wash away the dust and rediscover my individuality.

Sounds like a dream. I'm so happy that you had such a great trip. How could you not? It's FANTASYLAND! It's REBECCA! Welcome back, dear friend.

I love the picture of your feet! I have the one you took of my feet and Melissa's (after the race) proudly hanging on my wall. You do great work! Feet photos are really somethin!

Isn't it great that time away, "me" time (not mom time or wife time) can help you be a better you? So important...glad you had fun!

Hooray for a softened foot and a softened heart. Hooray for good friends and girl time. Hooray for remembering that you're not just a mother!

Why does this post make me feel weepy? Perhaps because it's so wonderful to see your feet next to Rebecca's and to know you had such a restorative weekend away. What a gift. Great post Jordan!

Sounds like your getaway was just what you needed. Good thing you unwittingly took your foot picture.

Jill, if you had been a fly on the wall of our weekend, you would perhaps understand your weepiness--it was tear-jerkingly good.

Jealous? Maybe a little! Sounds like a wonderful rejuvinating time. I want my feet on the beach somewhere. . . anywhere. . . anytime! Glad you were able to go and kudos to that wonderful Craig for helping to get you there.

Ah, the magic of good friends. One of my favorites ever, Kelly, is in Oregon. I'd love to have a getaway with her. There is true & honest renewal in getting away. I'm sure your Craig & littles were thrilled to have you back.

This photo was about 3 minutes before the hail started. Love it, love when a great photo also accompanies a great memory.
Thanks!
