Zoolights!

We braved risking the inevitable consequences of keeping the kids up late and tookt he crew to see Zoolights at the PHoenix Zoo. It was well worth the $12. The lights were amazing and the kids oohed and aahed from their stroller--Hazel just stared.

The kids were in their jammies and jackets and we all enjoyed the "rosy-cheek" feeling in the air as we perused the sparkly display. Hooray for December--almost.

Cool photos. That looks like a fun outing, although I would hate the day-after repercussions.

Hooray for December is right! Those late night outings with the kiddos are always SO worth it...a fun change from the norm. I am glad to see that you had so much fun. I hear Phoenix has a pretty amazing zoo...

What a fun thing to do. I love all the Christmas lights everywhere, so I would have braved the consequences too.

Looks like a great time! Christmas lights are right near the top of my list of favorite things! Rebecca is right - so TWINKLY! Glad you had such a wonderful time as a family. I remember one of our first family outings when Owen was new and the realization that we are a family of FIVE about knocked me off my feet. Sounds weird, but it felt like such a substantial number. Hooray for the Mangum Five - taking in the lights, keeping the kids up, and posting it about it for all of us to see!

Looks like so much fun. I think I will have to check if our Zoo does that.

I am not a blogger but stumbled upon your blog in a round about way. I hope this comment is not to late but I wanted to share a breastfeeding tip with you. I had problems with my second child gaining weight. I do not have a lot of milk to begin with so I tried everything under the sun to increase my supply so that I did not have to supplement. Breastfeeding is very important to me. With all of my efforts he still did not gain weight. Part of the problem was also that he developed into a lazy nurser ( he probably in a way gave up.) After 4 months my doctor suggested I supplement. That was devistating but I knew I needed to do what was best for my baby. I read up on nursing and supplementing on the internet and there are some very encouraging stories of successfully doing both. I supplemented 4 ounces a day and within 1 week he gained 1 pound. I always nursed and tried to empty my breast before I gave him a bottle. So twice a day after a feeding I gave him 2 ounces. That little bit worked miricles. He was so much happier and so was I. I successfully did both for 15 months. (the quantities of supplimenting went up as he got older and gained more weight.) I hope this helps. Good luck.
