Spooky spooky Halloween...

Craig tells me, as he is leaving for work, "There a black widow out back where the kids play, I tried to kill it but it got away, so just keep your eye out!" Needless to say I was out there first thing in the morning for the hunt. I am proud to say, she was found and destroyed, right by the sandbox. Scary.

You found and destroyed her yourself?? You're my hero! I am such the spider-phobe that I would be shut down by that prospect. I was just thinking yesterday how much better my life would be if there were NO spiders. I am constantly aware of them (a spidey sense if you will) and can detect one instantly when walking into a room. I hate to be startled by them and tend to shake things out when I pick them up just in case. It's grim.

I just read your last post. Funny, because everyone thinks I am crazy because I don't buy anything that has corn syrup. I think it is the evil ingredient. That's why I love Breyer's so much.:)

Way to go, Jordan! I've found a few black widows in my basement and had to kill them myself because Marc was not around. Not pleasant, but better than the alternative, right? ew.

We get banana spiders outside here (nothing like black widows!) that make the most beautiful webs. It's hard for me to want to destroy these spiders that are just amazing artists even though I am a SUPER ARACHNAPHOBIC! My little daughter, Julianna, has no fear and will instantly grab a paper towel and take care of them for me! What champions you both are!!!
