Here's to a Weekend with Dad!

I am guilty of blog neglect, but have the best excuse ever. Craig had the whole weekend off. We didn't do anything extraordinary, it was just nice to be ordinary together. The kids had a blast, and it was a much needed lift.

I thought of a dozen things to blog about, but now I'm drawing a blank. Probably because it's Monday morning and my bowl of chex hasn't kicked in yet.

Ah, that's the best picture ever! I know what you mean about being "ordinary together." Just having Dad home, making the family complete, hearing his voice in the other room, sitting next to him on the couch - ordinary things like that mean so much when they are gone SO MUCH. Glad you had a great weekend.

We just returned from a glorious trip to Boston and Philadelphia and Palmyra with my parents. It was a perfect trip. One of the best parts was having Tyler all to ourselves for a solid week! He's back at work now and my suitcases are calling out to me to unpack them. I am ignoring them.

Love you, Jordan!

We must of been on the same wave length because I am guilty of it too. Doug was home for the weekend as well! What a sweet picture.

There's nothing like an ordinary weekend. It's always nice to just be a family and enjoy one another. I will admit, I clicked on your blog page a few times hoping to see something new, so know that you were missed, but for a just cause.
You're wonderful, Jordan!

Hurray! Where would we be without the ordinary to look forward to. Love the down time. Probably my most beloved memories have occurred during the simple days, obscure moments, boring afternoons.

Cute photo, Jordan!

I'm so happy you don't have to communicate via your blog this weekend. Hope you had a great time.

Shawna, can't wait to hear all about your trip, and pictures too?! I love Boston, I spent a little time there when I worked in Nantucket.

What a darling photo!

Hang on, you worked in Nantucket? That sounds so fun. I have been there twice and just kind of fell in love with it.
